(195/365) black and white wednesday

There's a first time for everything....

Why do children shove things up their noses?  Really....I'd like to know!  I never did it and up until now, neither had any of my kids.  If I'd choose one to do it, it'd be Lily.  Not Jack...he's the cautious one.  Not the risk taker.  But tonight.....the wrapper from the Hershey's Kiss must've been calling to him....right before lights out he told my Mom that there was something up his nose.  So we got the emergent call and off we went, tweezers in hand.  And did I mention he's the ONE child of mine that I cannot seem to teach how to blow his nose???  Anyways.....Dan tried the tweezers, Jack started to cry and somehow snorted it out!  YAY!!!  A trip to the ER was the worst case scenario and I'm so glad that someone didn't have to sit there for  who-knows-how long.

Oh my - I'm so glad this story had a happy ending. ER at any time is no fun but at Christmas? I'll bet that scared him enough to not try and put anything else up there.

That's what happened to my eldest and nothing ever went up that nose again.

It must be a Christmas thing. My little sister stuck the eye of a snowman up her nose and did end up going to the ER. So much better you were able to handle it at home.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Oh, good that he was able to finally snort it out or it would have been a memorable Christmas, just not the type of 'memorable' you'd want, though.

Have a happy res-of-the-year and here's to a magical year ahead!

I used to stick stupid stuff up my nose too. Kids will do crazy stuff. Bless his heart.

glad it all ended well and great that you could capture the evidence, you must be a very calm mum to take a photo of it at the end! my 19 year old claims I failed as a mum as I have never taught her to blow her nose properly!

ha ha! too funny. glad it came out on its own. Dustyn hasn't stuck anything up his nose yet, but I am sure he will. That picture is sweet.

Oh my - no idea why shoving things up a nose has such appeal! My sister used to shove things in her ear! Glad you were able to get it out at home!!

OH NO! LOL - bless your heart. I've never had a problem with this either. Hoping neither of my kids get the idea to shove something up their nose or in their either. Love the last pic, though. Terribly sweet!
